This is partially useful map for the exploration of the Tehran Alborz mountains

For the beginner the best places to start hiking are Darakeh and Darband Vallies, both available from Tajrish Square by Taxi. In my opinion the upper halves of both are nice and more natural.

For more wild vallies (more nature, no facilities) with a little more experience under you belt you can graduate to the Golabdarre and Darabad Vallies.

Masters level is in the Eastern Mountains using Lophane pass by hiking on the west side of Darabad Valley over to Ooshoon/Fashan or vice versa (that is about 8 hours of hiking).
